Grand Finals Nature-based Future Challenge
Last November 726 students from 147 universities worldwide embarked in the Nature-based Future Challenge to develop groundbreaking nature-based plans for Bangladesh in 2120. On 11 June the finalists will battle for victory.
After two milestone reports, several trainings and workshops, only 11 teams are still in the competition. The top 11 teams are now preparing to face the Nature-based Future Challenge Jury on 11 June during the Grand Finals.
The finalist teams are traveling from all over the world to meet the Jury composed of Cora van Oosten (CIFOR-ICRAF), Farhana Ahmed (CEGIS), Haseeb Mohammed Irfanullah (independent consultant), Selim Reza (Solidaridad), John Reich (Foundation for Food and Agriculture Research) and Tim van Hattum (Wageningen University and Research). The Jury will assess the projects both by reading the reports and meeting the participant in the Dragon’s Den, where each team will present their video pitch and answer the Jury’s questions.
